Scholz’s professional career includes forty years as a pharmacist and entrepreneur and greater than ten years as an attorney and registered lobbyist.  With a skill set founded in health care services, health care management, government relations in regulatory agencies and legislative bodies, and the founding and subsequent sale of several entrepreneurial companies, Scholz currently serves as Managing Member of Jacobs Scholz & Associates, LLC, Board of Directors of Optimized Care Network, LLC, and Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Printed Literature Association.

Prior to launching his legal and government relations career, Scholz founded Complete Pharmacy Network, a pharmacy benefit management company that pioneered the implementation of real-time computerized management of pharmaceutical benefits and cost controls to health insurance companies and Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S.  After successfully merging Complete Pharmacy Network with a Fortune 200 company, he founded the Denali Group, Inc., a multi-faceted healthcare economics management consulting group that managed projects for stakeholders in distribution, delivery, and financing of pharmacy care.

Scholz earned a B.S in Pharmacy from Ohio State University, has been a registered pharmacist for forty years, graduated cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law and is a member of the Florida Bar.  He has presented at national conferences and summits for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, PHARMA Packaging and Labeling USA Conference, Verizon Life Sciences and Healthcare Conference, and at HX360, HIMMS 2015 TeleHealth Turnabout.  The Ohio House of Representatives has recognized him for his work as president of the Board of Education of his local public-school system in Ohio.  He is an active member of the Academy of Manage Care Pharmacy, National Council of Prescription Drug Programs, Florida Bar, Nassau County Education Foundation, and Robert M. Foster Inn of Courts.

Richard Scholz
